To officially start my blog I want to write about something really simple with a big effect.
I’m talking about hair knots. Some of you may say that it’s nothing new or special but it’s a part of hairstyling I just discovered for myself. As I just found out the little knots you can buy to create some neat hairstylings are really simple to use. Additionally they are so alterable and perfect for so many different situations: elegant on an event or a dinner, sporty for university, shopping or daily life or special at octoberfest.
Altough I was a little skeptical about them I bought a big one and a small one. The technique to use them is really simple and almost automatically done.

On the picture the girl uses a sock instead of a hairknot, but I think the real knots are better because they really hold your hair together.
Surprisingly the knot is completely covered by the hair, even if you have pretty thin hair like I do! My advice is not to use the real big ones because they kinda remind me of her:
The small ones are more natural so the people don’t even see that it’s not your real hair. Also they look more elegant when you where them as a little chignon in your neck. You can also use the knots in combination with some braided hair. Very nice, especially now in october 😉
And now the 3 most important rules for the knots:
#1 Don’t use them when you need to lay back like when you go to the dentist or visit your boyfriend. It’s so uncomfortable…-.-
#2 These are nothing for swimming when you expect your hair to get wet, because then they become really heavy!
#3 Before you leave the house, always (!) check if all of the knot is covered! Usually it is automatically, but you should invest the ten seconds to control it.
